How X-rays can spot packaged poultry seal
issues

The latest generation of X-ray technology offers highly accurate detection of seal issues in packaged poultry, identifying even minute breaches such as skin fragments as small as 50 microns. This advancement helps processors ensure that only properly sealed products leave the plant, reducing the risk of spoilage. By generating two images—one for the product and one for the seal—X-ray systems can detect foreign objects like metal and bone fragments, while also identifying seal defects. This dual capability simplifies inspection processes, reduces hardware duplication, and improves product safety.
