The Cheyney range of embedded linear Detector Sub-systems has evolved from the challenge of seeking more serviceable and cost-effective solutions for entry level end-of-line x-ray inspection systems.

The Cheyney ID series of Intelligent Linear Detector (ILD) x-ray systems represents the most highly integrated product for real time Xray imaging.

The detector incorporates a full-function dual core fanless processor, Windows based operating system, with a full suite of inspection software. The detector element of the module incorporates the same high performance, low noise circuitry as the DE series, directly interfaced by means of PCI Express connectivity to the CPU module. Other interface resources include DisplayPort HDMI for the direct connection of a touch screen, an array of USB 2.0 and 3.0 for peripherals, and an Ethernet port for internet connectivity.

The result is an x-ray system with only three components: Intelligent Detector, Generator and x-ray Control Circuit. This is surely the simplest and most serviceable system available.

All Cheyney detectors in the range are designed to have a central sensor position, connectivity via the end of the detector for easy installation, and built-in collimators to minimise potential radiation damage to the sensor elements and the effects of scatter.
